Judgement day is coming, and Pitt is on the outside looking in. Pitt was attractive for the ACC because of who we were as an institution, but it wouldn’t have happened without our basketball team being a national power at the time. At least that’s the opinion of many.
Now I think we can all see the musical chairs starting again, and if the music stopped today, we’d be on the outside looking in.
My question is this. What kind of an investment would it take for our football team to be a national title contender/winner every year over the next 5-10 years? We are going to have stadium questions and conference questions someday soon, and if we were to make a serious investment right now for on the field results, it would be a small price to pay for generations of security.
