What do you think they report, 42,000?

And people think that is still a plum coaching job.

The U isnt "the U" anymore.

When I was an undergrad at WVU, nehlen used to schedule his walk on players with a D1-aa school.. I want to say Fairmont state but I could be mistaken. I had some buddies who were "invited walk ons" with the program so they would play in those. That is what the crowds would look like, a couple parents and me and some friends with a case of beer

Exactly - that program will continue its downward spiral unless they seriously upgrade their Coral Gables facilities and build an on campus stadium.

Or, if they hire Uncle Luke as their next HC.

miami is such a terrible sports town. the U is more similar to temple than they are willing to admit. they really have no choice - find big $ to get a very good, proven coach, or stay in this mediocre (at best) rut they're in.

This could be a little misleading. When was this picture taken? The teams aren't even on the field.

And yes, it is still a plum coaching job. A HC can live in Miami and not be bothered by a bunch of nutjobs wanting an autograph when he's out to eat with his family or trying to take a piss at a 7-11.

This is way before kickoff, post another pic while the game was going on.

I think a lot of Miami's problems are due to the Orange Bowl being ripped down. They didnt fill it but there was something intimidating about that place.

Miami should maybe look into playing at Marlins Park.

Honestly it looks exactly like our stadium pregame. Their 2 deep is still nearly all 4* recruits even after muffing several coaching hires.

did not sell out games when they were winning NCs.....if attendance at an urban school is one of the major factors in determining the attractiveness of plum or potential plum coaching jobs then there is a lot of stone throwing by glass house residents here...

This debate about the U will go on and on.......

But the administration at Miami has no interest in committing to big time football again....not in light of Nev Shapiro and the black eye left on the university.

They may become competitive due to raw talent in their backyard. But they are not going to be the old "U" ever again.

Hate to say I totally agree, but I do. And I am so tired of seeing pregame pictures misrepresent things. It happens all the time. If people want to take pictures, do so while the players are on the field and preferably with the scoreboard shown.

It looks like they're getting ready to honor the Seniors before kickoff. It looks like their parents are out on the field.
