In Narduzzi's post game remarks he was effusive about the superior job done by the refs keeping the game under control.(?!?!?!?).
The rest of the way could be very ugly.

Clemson will put a licking on Pitt as they are the worst defense in college football. I mean the worst. 22 games in and the defensive guru is defending this nonsense. Pitt has three Div 1 players on D. After that with two and three years of experience Pitt still is horrendous on defense. Clemson will hammer Pitt and we are back to the nineties with 62-14 scores. Lack of talent is one thing, but not being able to defend a basic pass is a sad indictment of just how poor this team is prepared on defense. The coaching is poor.

All the coaching in the world won't help if the players can't play at a P5 level. Narduzzi can't coach any of us to All-American status.

For Narduzzi's defense to work, it takes a few things:

1. Stop the run - We do that well.

2. Rush the passer - Besides Price, we don't have any players that can consistently rush the passer. We got 1 sack and 3 hurries all day from our defense. That's not going to do it.

3. Be able to cover man to man. - We can't do that at all. There are no schemes that eliminates your entire secondary.

Look. We can't recruit in the places that are hot (apologies to WPIAL), but it is what it is. We have no gold star recruiters for Tx, Ca, Fla or the south. Good luck with that.
