I'd sure as hell like to have Toney back.
He's averaging 31 mpg, 10 ppg and 5 rpg on the 23-6 #18 team in the country that has won 13 of its last 14 games.
He's better, by far, than anyone we have now.
The only issue was he threatened to leave every yr and slept with a teammates girlfriend . Just the type of guy you want around .

You know for a fact that was baseless ? That he got a concussion from playing ball and decided at that point to leave the program or that someone gave him that concussion and then he decide to get out of Dodge .

I’m glad you appointed yourself as the arbiter as what allowed to be discussed on this board ! I guess there must have been some classes in Pharmacy school dealing with appropriate message board topics . Maybe you could do some part time work for Panther lair being the monitor of these boards .
Last yr was the only yr he really lost his team as X and Toney quit on the team . It would've been interesting to see if Hugley had stayed eligible what Pitt could’ve done down the stretch . Teams figuring out how to play against you and losing isn’t losing your team , that’s simply not having enough talent to win .
As much as you think you know you have no idea how these players acted in practice and what disciplinary actions were taken to modify their behavior . On the court X couldn’t stop getting T’s no matter what he was told and you have no idea how he and his family interacted with the coach . Quitting on the team says everything you need to know about him. Toney’s on court play wasn’t the issue , not sure how a coach is ever responsible for any of his players off the court actions . Once again you have no idea how Toney and his family interacted with JC .
Has JC done a good job in his 4 yrs here at Pitt , no he hasn’t . He is responsible for who he recruits and that’s the issue , but thinking he’s 100% responsible for how 17 & 18 yr old kids will behave once on campus is delusional . Some kids aren’t good team players or good actors off the court and until your living with them you have no idea what your getting . It’s not unlike dating , until,your living with them you have no idea what your getting , everyone’s nice during courting .

Message boards were made for gossip. When people are spending money on tickets and donations to support a team, and then the team sucks, people are going to speculate about the reasons. Distasteful or not, it's what people do.
