Their coach still telling them

They almost did, lol. I think once they figured out that they needed to step up and take those medium range jumpshot and get into the lane. They kinda were able to grind this game out.

I think the rim might have cracked from all their bricks. Jeez laweez. They were clearly the bigger, more athletic team. But they didn't seem too good at making the ball go in the hoop.

Yeah Pitt has had bad games but this hasn’t been a team to crack down the stretch. Seemed odd that he kept harping on that.

Jans is just giving his guys confidence. A lot like Capel talking up rebounding.

State isn't made to play from behind. He's probably trying to make sure they continue to play with confidence in case Pitt had a flurry of points.

Mississippi State is obviously one of the worst at-large teams in the tourney. A coach has to get his guys to believe that they not only belong, but that they can also win.

Capel could have said the same thing about them. It's what coaches say about the opponent. No big deal. But MSU is the one who cracked.

Coach-speak. Nothing against Pitt but just to reinforce his own players.
Totally agree .. I think with the type of team he has, they have to bank on their aggressive D putting pressure on the other team and they "crack" or at least struggle to some extent -- and let's be honest, they held us to 60 points, we did underperform. We had a poorly timed, end of game scoreless run up until Burton's shot with less than 10 seconds less.
