official beer of Pitt Football could be another revenue stream. I'm not even sure what Beer the Steelers serve but a special Commemorative Can sold only at the Stadium could be a very unique thing. It would save on cleanup costs as people would keep the can and it looks great on TV on a hot sunny day.

Again, a football game should be a cocktail party and not a kids party.

Does anyone know what beer is in Heinz Field this year? I want to envision that Beautiful Pitt Logo with beer sweat dripping across it.

They would never allow cans due to safety reasons. They may allow plastic bottles but how many people would actually keep them. In addition I am sure the Steelers contract with Aramark already covers this.

They sell cans of beer at all major sporting venues..not sure where you've been recently

Do we really want to sell beer to fans of PSU, ND and potentially WVU? I say no.

And the fans who actually attended ND won't be the problem. It will be the yinzer domers who don't even know what state South Bend is located in, who get too drunk to have self control.

That's not true for the PSU and WVU fans. Their alums are much less cordial than the ND alums.

I been to many venues and never seen them selling beer by the can. It always been draft or plastic bottles. The only time I have seen cans was when they poured the beer into a cup but never served it straight from the can. I know Heinz field won't even let you keep the cap to your bottled water for safety reasons.

You can buy 24 oz cans of beer at Buccos games served in the can (the cashier opens the can). It's $11 for a can.
