These semifinal games being on the 28th is stupid

They should be on January 1. Too much respect is given to the Sugar Bowl that they gave it a locked in NYD primetime slot. The Rose I could see but the Sugar? Its an afterthought game 2 out of 3 years. I honestly dont know who's in it this year. Baylor vs who?

Also, while I'm at it, why is there a 16 day break between the semifinal and final? The final should be on Jan 6. There's been finals before played 9 days after the semis. 16 days is far too long a layoff to maintain any viewer momentum. People are on to the NFL playoffs, NBA, and college hoops.

This is what the schedule should be:

noon - Citrus
4:00 - Cotton
8:00 - Orange

Jan 1
1:00 - Peach
5:00 - Rose
8:30 - Fiesta

8:00 - Sugar

On January 1, everybody is home, nothing else is on and the day is supposed to have the bowl season's biggest games, not Baylor playing some SEC team who didn't make the playoff. Semifinal games are important, really? Winning World War 2 was important,lol. It is simply football games, if the date and time doesn’t meet your approval just record the games and play back in June or July.

It's tough as NYD is fluid..... The Saturday after NYD usually has the NFL opening rd of playoffs so that is out. NYE is a disaster. I do agree about way too many meaningless bowl games on NYD.

And here's something. College Football has pretty much pissed all over tradition. So why let something so relatively unimportant as the Rose Bowl call the shots?

Incredibly, SMF does have one valid point. The NC game should be on the 6h instead of the 13th. No reason under the sun there should be more than a 2 week break.
