They Really Called That?

Why would they not call the most obvious thing to call all game?

If you are going to complain about a call, the Carolina player took about five steps before he got fouled. He took two steps, then a little hop, then another step. The missed foul shot followed by the lane violation were poetic justice for the refs missing the obvious traveling violation.

I was a youngster and in attendance when the immortal Steve Beatty made a last second free throw to tie the game for Pitt only to have it called off because of a lane violation.

Maybe I’m not distinguishing between NBA and NCAA but I swear I’ve seen guys jumping into the lane before the FT all the time without a call. Here a half foot and he pulled it back, got zero advantage as to a potential rebound and a violation called. IDK…

You can't blame Lubin. If anything Withers is familiar with his form.

Yeah, I agree with you. If that was the first time Withers had ever seen Lubin shoot a foul shot, then hey, maybe he wasn't ready for that and got fooled by him. But it obviously wasn't. He'd seem him shoot them in games and in practice all season. It would be like if a Pitt player made a lane violation because Cam Corhen's stupid foul shot routine confused him. You've seen it all season long. How are you confused by it in game 35?
