Does Cal know a player commitment on a fake offer?

I cant believe Cal offered him. He could have had him in the portal in a couple years if we went somewhere else and did well.
This is a pitiful thread. Kid from WPIAL gets an offer from Kentucky and the geniuses on here insinuate the kid is no good. Do you all really think the kid should be refusing scholarship offers to good schools , like "sorry coach I appreciate the offer but I am not that good."
Kentucky fans are obliterating Cal over this signing. I'm telling you guys the marriage in Lexington is on the rocks. Kentucky fans are royally pissed with the direction of the program. If Pitt ever had a chance to pitch Calipari as the hometown hero savior, its next March.

Isn't everything pretty much zero risk anymore anyway? If it doesn't work out for either side, you just go into the portal after the season. If THAT doesn't work out, you go into the portal again and come up with some excuse to be granted a waiver .
great point. why Ky fans are mad is weird. if he sucks, he'll be at a lower school in a year or two..
Why waste a scholarship on him though when you can have him or someone better in the portal in a couple years? I don't understand this one. Kentucky fans are like "this is what Kentucky basketball has become."
Heather needs the back-channeling with Calipari now. He has a lot of friends in Pgh and would be a conquering hero. I always thought it would be near impossible to land him but if he has another subpar season, I think we have a legit chance.

we'll see. He will be 65 in 2 years. Young by coaching standards. I would see him giving the NBA one more chance since that was his biggest failure. Hard to get coaching out of your blood for guys like him.

OK, well Facebook, where everything about everything is negative. Still, UK fans are not happy with Cal. Doesn't mean he'll ever be fired. He won't. What's funny about the whole recruiting thing- this kid is an unranked late signer with offers from a few places looking to fill a roster spot late in the process. He signs with KY and now he's the #124 recruit in the country. Lol

Look up any Thiero article on FB and you will see the comments. While Kentucky fans are being too harsh, I understand their point. A program like Kentucky does not need developmental players. They can get the best players in the portal every year. If Thiero went to Pitt and averaged 18, he could have went to Kentucky then.
Set aside the "who the f is dumb enough to get their 'news' from Facebook" and "who the f is dumb enough to believe anything they read on Facebook" - post it yourself so we can all laugh at you directly.

I agree but is it really that hard to believe that Kentucky fans would be critical of a recruit like this. I don't care if he turns out to be an AA. Cal could have had him in a few years.
This is why I take some of these rankings with a grain of salt. There is absolutely no way he is ranked that high if he had committed to Duquesne.

Correct. I am a huge WVU fan. Also, Kentucky fans dont like the Thiero signing. My massive fandom of WVU is irrelevant to this discussion. Man do I hope WVU bounces back next year. I just love that team.
