- That game sure had the feel of one we were overmatched in but if 2 things don’t happen we likely win the game. If Ford doesn’t fumble (if there were more camera angles available they would have probably shown he never had full control of the ball) and if the time management at the end of the first half would have been even average we are looking at a 10 point differential. Add in the inability to drive the blocked punt in for a touchdown and it’s not much of a stretch to say we shot ourselves in the foot to the tune of 10-14 points.

- I didn’t like how Narduzzi reacted toward Chaney in full view of the fans, team and a TV audience. I like passion as much as the next guy and the time management blunder was inexcusable, but there’s a time and place to handle that discussion and I don’t believe it was then and there. Maybe it’s the instilled paranoia in me but my first thought after that happened was there goes MacVittie. I’m sure cooler heads have prevailed since last night though.

- I believe last night was a recalibration of sorts. I don’t believe anyone really thought we would run the ACC table and that sooner or later our lack of elite talent would expose our weaknesses. I was very curious how we would react when we really fell behind in a game and both sides of the ball were having problems. It was very encouraging to see we fought back and did what we had to do to get back in the game. If we can play that type of a game and still only lose by 7 to a talented and athletic team then I see a silver lining in the loss. You can only get so much out of heart and then talent has to take over and I believe the cavalry is on it’s way in that department.

- I really like the atmosphere that Sweet Caroline creates in the stadium but it must be moved to another part of the game. The Kumbaya feel is diametrically opposed to the “let’s get ready to rumble” feel Narduzzi is trying to create going into the 4th quarter. He calls it having a 4th quarter party but I see it more as a notice that we have 15 minutes to knock someone’s head off.

- I’ve never watched Miles Sanders play but if he is as good as advertised, how good would he look in a Pitt uniform? James seems to stop and fall backwards as soon as he gets hit and I’m not sure what Ollison is doing. I don’t know if he is afraid to fumble but it seems for his size he should run more like Hood, who seldom went down on the first hit and always fell forward.

- How many times are our DBs going to be inches from batting down a pass but never turn around to see where the ball is? UNC’s DBs turned around and blocked several passes. Is it a difference in coaching philosophy or are they just not doing what they are coached to do?

- I don’t see Conner turning pro without re-establishing himself on the field first. Without showing teams he is fully recovered I have to believe he is leaving a lot of money on the table. Sure, he can show his measurables are back to normal but only game conditions will show if he can make the cuts and take the hits. Therefore, I believe he will either be back for a few games this year or be back next year.

- Why wasn’t the city lit up for the game last night. The skyline was practically dark when the aerial views were shown. Pittsburgh is a beautiful city and it didn’t show it’s true colors last night.

- Did anyone see any interactions between coaches and recruits on the field during pre-game? At the UVA game, Narduzzi spent a decent amount of time with Pugh and not too long afterwards he verballed.

- I actually feel better about the ND game than UNC. The team will have 2 extra days of rest and no one is expecting Pitt to win. Although ND is my 3rd least favorite team, I will be rooting for them to beat Temple tomorrow night.

I still believe 9-4 or maybe even 10-3 are possible with a little luck.
