Not sure if this has been posted already, but it’s a must read for those wanting Capel fired at any cost…

I may be wrong but I thought Hoiberg is kind of in the same situation. Nebraska requested (probably mandated) he restructure his contract to get at least another year.

**Fred has 4 recruits in place for next year.

Jeff has 6 years of sub .500 record and his brother coming back next year..

People bitch when the local rags "dont give pitt fair coverage" and that "the papers are full of nitters" but when PSN comes out with something you won't click? That makes no sense. some people try so hard to be cool.
Fair coverage and being a fan boy with very questionable credibility are 2 very different things.

If you enjoy PSN have at it. But Vukovcan is a mid level blogger at best.

I don’t know, seems to me they have a whole lot more than just mid level blogger opinions there. I always thought they had a good bit of feedback from and interviews with recruits, mostly filled with direct quotes and not opinions. Maybe most of their opinion stuff is from twitter posts, which I don’t follow.

So I don’t have any problem with the site, especially considering the constant gripe herein about lack of local Pitt coverage.

I think Saunders is pretty solid. I know they’ve expanded but I can’t comment on anything from anyone else. But I don’t trust Vukovcan when it comes to Pitt coverage.

So my bad for generalizing. It’s specific with Vukovcan.

If that is indeed true. He is definitely coming back. The university already spent enough on him.

My comment was in general not that specific article.

But for an article with no revelations or new information, it sure did generate lengthy debate herein on the contract buyout amount. And of course, whether or not to keep him one more year because of it.

If it is true that Pitt can save 10m by waiting until next year, then we are almost assuredly getting one more year of this staff.
Yep, if true he's not going anywhere. And at that point the only way he survives beyond that is if he reels in a big '23 class; because next year isn't going to much, if any, better than this one.

PSNs recruiting news is shite. The game coverage and insight from guys like Saunders and Michalski is good, imo.

I think the bottom line is that HL believes HCJC has earned another year, I can see her argument(s) for keeping considering any amount of buy-out beyond a frivolous amount.

I don't think he can coach, and I don't like the culture he has built but if he can go into the portal and drag 3 players who can help win starting next year , who cares?
