"Las Panteras, post: 675569, member: 5316"]This game....unlike so many of these pissant bowls....has real importance to the program, and is a chance for Narduzzi to further build his foundation.
Agree, especially after watching the Pinstripe Duke-Indiana Bowl, I am glad Duke won, and it was a terrific game, but no upside in beating 6-7 Team?
Watching the Miami-WSU game in Sun Bowl, was also not as good in my view, Snow Storms in the Pan Handle of Texas would not have made a great week or game day? But Playing Leach's WSU 9-3 Teams would have been good test for Narduzzi & Staff versus Laach & Staff? But Washington State is not Ranked like Navy???
It might be raining tomorrow, but it will be warm and a join to see many Pitt fans in the seats and Conner coming out to Cheers! And you can bet on Navy fans saluting Conner with class and encouragement!
I remember when Pitt's Tony Dorsett broke the NCAA ALL Time Football Rushing Record and Navy Shot out Navy's Cannon in Salute of Dorsett's Breaking the Record!
Our recruiting class is shaping up nicely. We have some big time players looking at us. A win over a ranked team will only keep the momentum going.
If Pitt can close with just 2 to 4 more Four Star and some Three Star Recruits they will have a Top 25 Class? A Bowl Game Win can help make that happen too!
Wannstedt, Chryst both started out 6-6. Any buzz surrounding a new coach was immediately pared back after a mediocre first year. HCPN took a major step forward at 8-4 and a 9-4 first season would be a huge selling point.
Exactly, and Pitt has an A.D. that listens to Coaches, Former Players, Fans, and promotes Pitt Traditions and next year Uniforms will be more exciting.
However, the best part is I have not seen any Pitt Coach & Staff have such Good Game Plans in every game this year along with Great Half Time Adjustments, since the 1970s-80s!
Pitt Players Execution just missed winning Iowa, UNC and Miami Games, and that too is a good sign they changed attitudes, and did not quit in any game either.
Coach Pat & Staff did this in less than 8 Months, New Staff, New OC, New QB, and complete improvements in all Three Units including Defense and Special Teams!
I might also add the PSU is going to get smoked by Georgia.
Not so sure about that, Georgia has Top Players not playing, Interim Coaches, and Players not too happy they lost their Coach? I see this as a Test of Franklin and Franklin's New OC impact!
All Experts are picking Penn State to win!
I can say if Penn State does lose this game, Franklin's Image will lose more shine, and I predict so will Franklin's Recruiting will go down not up. Franklin has to win to go into next year with more hope for his Plan than the realities of his Game Day Results the last 2 years?
Georgia is still ranked 25th in one Poll! So, that would be Franklin's Win!
Best of luck tomorrow, boys.
I join you in that salute!
