Say what you will about Moorhead but he's the top assistant and under the radar HC commodity

Obviously it's a good thing.

Pitt just has to do their absolute best to keep him and be ready make the best possible replacement whenever that time comes.

remember around April of last year when many on the board were questioning Canada's coaching and recruiting ability especially when at least three or four of his Qb targets verbaled elswhere. Always let the season play out .

I don't even know about saying under the radar. He has head coaching experience, there will most definitely be teams willing to give him a shot as a head coach.

I think what Canada has done is much more impressive. Moorhead will absolutely get a head coaching job first though.

Matt Canada interviewed for the East Carolina head coaching job last season. He isn't a hidden unknown uncovered by Pat Narduzzi.

I just hope when he leaves:

1. A Pitt assistant coach has memorized that playbook and has picked Canada's brain.
2. Canada leaves to be a head coach and not another teams OC.

If Canada could even come close to what he did this year, next year, he is going to be a very hot commodity among head coaching options. Since 2010 he has been at 5 different schools. I would think he would want to have some stability in his life. After this year he will never be on the hot seat at Pitt for at least another few years. Go to a bigger school such as Alabama or LSU and possible head coaching career over.

If we match whatever offer he gets why would he leave for a lateral position? He gets offered a head coaching gig, great for him because he had a great freaking year at Pitt.
