Has anyone asked anyone in Hungary if they are threatened? Orban is trying to keep Hungary, Hungarian and not let it become overrun with African and Muslim migrants which is bringing down the quality of life and all that has been touted in other European countries.

One thing I think we are learning.....other than in food and sport, Diversity is not a strength.

The whole thing baffles me. So a consulting firm at the forefront of DEI claims, with vague and faulty methodology, that Dei is a strength and companies with higher diversity in leadership roles results in a 39% more liklihood of outperforming their financial goals. These claims have never been proven, but companies took it as gospel and they then decided to subscribe to the DEI religion.

Make it make sense. How is diversity a strength? Smart people, people with leadership qualities, and go getters are a strength. Hire based on those qualities, not XX chromosomes, not bedroom behaviors, and not melanin levels in the skin.

When was the last time the Congress actually passed a budget on time? I think it was 28 years ago. The House Republican budget plan framework calls for Energy and Commerce Committee to find $880 billion. The only program under their jurisdiction big enough to realize those cuts is Medicaid.

No cuts to services exist today. We'll see if any happen in the future.

The first 2 were, the last one of three took off after the ruling was handed down. They ignored the judge's ruling. Trump is now blaming it on Marco Rubio and saying he didn't sign the order, even though his signature is on the order.

The third had deportees ordered to be removed by immigration judges and did not apply to the ruling.

There are no new tax cuts for the rich that I know of. The tax cuts under discussion are an extension/permanent of the tax cuts enacted in 2017. The only new tax cuts under discussion are no tax on tips and no tax on social security, neither of which benefit the rich. I have not stayed informed on all the discussions so I will acknowledge I'm wrong if you can prove some new tax cuts for the rich. Go for it.

As for Medicaid, there may well be cuts to the budget that don't change any legitimate benefits as waste and fraud are identified and cut.

I have seen several times in the grocery store where someone pulls out the food stamp card and there’s not enough money. Then they pull out another card that doesn’t have money on it then they pull out a third card with the same result. Then they call someone and they say I thought you said there’s plenty of money on these cards. They should do what Costco does have your picture on the card. If it doesn’t match you can’t get in. But some left wing nut will scream discrimination.

Maybe it’s different for me I don’t know. But I’ve always got back all the tax deductions from my SSI monthly check. I can’t remember if it was 2 years ago or 5 years ago but my accountant told me that I didn’t have to pay taxes on my SSI anymore. I just chose to continue with the tax refund because I’m not waiting on the phone for an hour to have them stop deducting the taxes. Or going to the SSI office in East Liberty. Just me
