Reminds me of games with Bostick, Stull, Tino, Lytle, Sean Fitzergald, Ryan…Both of these programs should be ashamed. Meanwhile, good ole Rutgers is livin right. 4-1. Who have they beaten you ask? NW, Temple, VT, Wagner. That's how you schedule early and nobody does it better than Schiano.
Stull was an average, maybe above average college QB.Reminds me of games with Bostick, Stull, Tino, Lytle, Sean Fitzergald, Ryan…
Only we occasionally had good running games
SuiureeeeeStull was an average, maybe above average college QB.
Tino was average maybe slightly below average.
Lytle played in the NFL.
I've suffered through a lot of bad Pitt QBs. Phil is a different level bad. He is the only division one (and maybe division 2 and 3) quarterback who can't throw a spiral. He might be the worst thrower of the football in college football since teams went away from running the triple option and actually passing the ball. I can't imagine he is really this bad. At one time he was a decent college QB but he has the yips and it is beyond uglyReminds me of games with Bostick, Stull, Tino,he Lytle, Sean Fitzergald, Ryan…

It probably the real offense and sophisticated terminology that Narduzzi likes to brag about.I've suffered through a lot of bad Pitt QBs. Phil is a different level bad. There is no way he is the best QB on the team right now. Not saying the other two are any good but they can at least throw a spiral. Yarnell looked serviceable against WMU last year. Jurkoveck wouldn't start for Thiel the way he is throwing the ball. Maybe he doesn't yip it in practice but his passes in games look like a JV high school QB.He has the yips. But he's still better than Villeaux or Yarnell. I'd run the Wildcat on 1st and 2nd down and then put in a throwing QB for 3rd down.
You may think this is crazy but it actually looos like he is trying to throw the game. It is almost impossible for him to miss some those passes. Eve. The huge touchdown was not thrown properly but the receiver adjusted.
He just took a sack. No real reason for it. This is really strange. He has zero future in football. For the love of Marshall Goldberg, I hope I am wrong. Its really unrealistic but I have thought of this. It could just be the yips. But he's also a 24 year old with no football future. If he could make a few hundred thousand from bookies, why not, right? He has no allegiance to Pitt.

It actually was 53-52. The game that neither team seemed to want to win. The Owls blew a three-score lead in the fourth quarter. One of the most entertaining (because the two teams were so bad) was the year we beat Temple 43-42 and their coach resigned in tears in in his presser after the game
Sorry no way he is better than the other 2. C'mon SMF that is ridiculous. He has the yips. But he's still better than Villeaux or Yarnell. I'd run the Wildcat on 1st and 2nd down and then put in a throwing QB for 3rd down.
#68 and ole’ - synonymous. #50 has to actually move to be able to be matadorish…Prized recruit Zubovic ole'd 2 blocks. That's not on Phil
I was there for that (looking back on it, I must have been the talisman for bad football, clad as I was in Pitt cap and Temple jacket). I had forgotten just how wild that game was.It actually was 53-52. The game that neither team seemed to want to win. The Owls blew a three-score lead in the fourth quarter.
It may be bad football, but personally I'd rather watch a team that can score, having good defense never makes me feel better than scoring points.I was there for that (looking back on it, I must have been the talisman for bad football, clad as I was in Pitt cap and Temple jacket). Tino played in the CFL, I don't know how long, but I remember seeing a game on TV where he played for the Saskatchewan Rough Riders, he did okay, not great.Stull was an average, maybe above average college QB.

I had a sideline pass for that game. 20th reunion of the 1976 championship team. Crazy game. I think it was actually 53-52.Hey, we often scored a lot in those games. True we lost a lot of them. But we scored a good bit.

The anniversary of that game is coming up: October 5, 1996. For those of you who weren't born yet, there was no overtime back in those days. All those points were scored in regulation!I had a sideline pass for that game. 20th reunion of the 1976 championship team. Crazy game. I think it was actually 53-52.
