Definitely doesn't seal it. But it's promising. Shady said the same after the wvu game and then went to the nfl.

I don’t think it seals anything. Was just being a bit sarcastic. I don’t think it’s indicative of a thing. I don’t doubt he’d like to play that game but I can’t imagine it will be a factor in any decision.

I don't think it seals it. But I've been leaning way more lately him coming back.
I think his NBA stock is dropping.
And i think he still has a bunch of tools he can add to his game.

He trusts the process, which is exactly what I said a month or so ago that he should do. He listens to the coaches and openly admits he has significant weaknesses that need to be addressed to get better as a player for the longevity of his career outside of college wherever he ends up. He just said this again in his open interview today, again, talking about weaknesses.

This is not a player that is "set" on the NBA. This is a player that is coachable, that will trust the process, that understands he can make significant improvement in his game and will make the appropriate decision accordingly based off feedback at seasons end. X could learn something from Champ here because I still dont think X fully understands trusting the process and listening to the coaches.

Anyone that says Champ is a lock to leave as of right now is full of shit. Champ isnt X when it comes to listening to the Coaches or listening to anyone. He actually listens and is humble enough to understand the holes in his game to make him better in the future.

How are the 22 reclasses you haven’t named coming? You’re full of shit

And sure, he may not. But if he doesn’t now, he’ll never be an NBA draft pick.

Let me ask you this. Are his weaknesses better worked on with Jason Capel for 2 hours a week or pro trainers for as many hours as he wants... Nevermind. Don’t answer

I know this might sound crazy, but maybe Justin and his family value a good education. He could probably finish his degree if he stays another year.

Not crazy at all. But he could finish his degree any time.

If he projects as a 1 he has to go. Last I looked (and admittedly it’s been a while) quite a few 2s get guaranteed money. Not sure if that can be determined but if he and his camp are pretty sure he can get a guaranteed contract he should go.

I understand this but this argument stands for literally every major D1 basketball player. None of them should ever play 2 years in college since they could get much better with pro training.

But there’s more that goes into the decision than just that.

Didn't Steve Adams say "of course I'm coming back" literally days before he declared?
Yep. That’s why my initial reaction to the OP was “Flex Seal” because he may feel differently later.

Since Capel has been here we have had a reclassification in every single recruiting class in the last 3 recruiting cycles. I make no guarantee if we get one or not to reclass but multiple are on the table. All of our reclassifications happened "late".

Ill also say we have our eyes on a number of players. That includes some international, players from the French or German leagues for example, some of which arent even in any recruiting database like 247. Slow down with putting the cart before the horse on everything.

What’s said barely matters any more. Coaches are never going anywhere until they do. Players are staying until they’re not. Pro teams say they’re not going to trade so and so then so and so is gone shortly thereafter.

Every team his their eyes on players. Gimme a break. I have my eyes on Emily Ratajkowski.

Sure, but every player doesn’t average 18/11 in the ACC on one knee at 19 years old.

Oh good. See if Heidi Klum is available for me. I have about as much to sell

Can you please stop talking about it in absolutes?

There’s a good chance he goes. But there’s also a decent chance he gets surgery and comes back for more one push next year.
You have to remember...bball insider just got off the phone with two nba executives and played golf earlier with some nba scouts and p6 coaches. So who are u to question his judgment?

No actually it’s freezing in Pittsburgh today. I have talked to an OKC scout today, though. I’m sure @DT_PITT could confirm this is most likely true.

If JC declares he's going to lose alot of $$. I'm sure him and Capel discussed his situation. I've heard rumblings that he'll be back but what do I know? We'll see H2P!

Two things
1. Your obsession with me is creeping me out. If you like men, no worries. But I don’t.
2. He’s gone.
If I‘d ever consider the other team I can guarantee you that you have no worries.

If you weren’t such a knew it all I‘d just ignore your nonsense , but you wear me out with your habitual hatred for anything involving HCJC , his staff and his players . Why are you even on a Pitt board ?

I think his NBA stock has to be dropping significantly. If teams just pay attention to him, he goes from ACC POY and late 1st/high 2nd rounder to mid to late 2nd Round to undrafted. That said, he is definitely going to at least declare and go through the process. Why wouldn't he?

This is really much ado about nothing. The reporter asked him about playing his brother. Was he really going to say, "huh, Im going to the NBA?"

Does it mean he will definitely be back? No, of course not. But it is indicative of where his head is right now. He doesn't seem like the type to just say something like that to throw everyone off. What would he the purpose of that anyways?

I think it shows that right now he believes he will be back next year. Could he change his mind? Absolutely. But I think this is at least a good sign of what he's thinking today.

People need to stop comparing JC to Adams , Adams was a physical freak of nature JC is a 6’5” good college bb player who needs to improve his weaknesses and whose position less at the next level .

Nobody’s comparing their physical attributes now or before. Or their abilities. Just their situation as it relates to the draft.

Want to know the reasons he is on a Pitt Board, I know you aren’t very bright, so I’ll type SLOW

** He went to Pitt
** He graduated from Pitt
** MOST IMPORTANTLY,
HE WORKED UNDER Dixon on his Staff while he coached at Pitt!!!

does that help you???
Listen I liked JD , but he’s not coaching here anymore and JC had nothing to do with JD being forced out so his vitriol towards him , his staff and players doesn’t sound like a guy who wants to see JC or the Panthers to succeed . Anyone working with young college aged guys would never say the things he does towards the current players like he sucks , he stinks and all the other negative stuff he constantly spews .
Maybe he should root for TCU .

so you have no actual names for us now? You must be working for the staff.

To be fair, I think Adams said that sincerely. He just had no idea what his situation was.
