It's my opinion that those who decide who gets which bowl blew it by not putting WVU and Pitt against one another. Honestly I'd rather it be the RA Bowl as opposed to playing in NY in late December but it just should have been the Backyard Brawl renewed......

Pitt fans like you are the reason why Pitt does not get better bowls. People that always find an excuse not to attend the bowl.
How do you know he 'always' does? I go to games I go to away games at least 1 every year which is more than 99% of the people on here.

Pitt isn't getting promoted in the bowl hierarchy, ever. I could see the bowls doing this for a bowl Pitt is slotted to play in, but they would not bump Pitt up.
You run Florida Citrus Sports. Miami is 3 hours away and has many more fans in the Orlando area than Pitt. They simply felt Miami/WVU sells more tickets than Pitt/WVU
I would estimate:
10K Pitt
30K WVU
15K Miami
25K WVU
I think its even but that doesn't mean I'm right. I'm sure the bowl thought there was more upside/leas downside with Miami, thinking Miami could possibly send 20K-30K while there would have been a fear Pitt only sends 3K-5K.
