Funny, but is it really out of character for a coach to yell and say "naughty" things to an official? I suspect if you had a transcript of what many coaches say during or after games...it would not pass censor scrutiny. Just a big yawn from me. Crean, despite his friends here, is a good coach. 20 wins, an appearance in the Dance, in a relatively tough conference is not a horrible year of work. Much like Pitt, he lacks bigs on his present team. Unlike Pitt, Indiana fans expect way more than just a token appearance in the tournament. So I expect the pressure will be on in a big way over the upcoming season. Hail to Pitt!

Unlike Pitt, I.U is an easy school to recruit to. Kids wake up in the Midwest wanting to play at I.U, The fans know it and expect results. The Crying Crean is thin skinned and can't take the criticism from the media and fan base.

Pittlaw, you're right that Crean isn't popular here for a variety of reasons. Coming from 1/2 of a B1G household, he has worn out his welcome in his new conference too, again for a variety of reasons. I know this sounds like a little thing, but did you know he actually held a very public news conference while still at Marquette to announce he wasn't interested in the Illinois job, even though it hadn't been offered at that point? I mean, could you see DIxon or many other's doing that? He's a strange guy with a huge ego and having some neighbors who are big IU boosters, he supposedly had very eroded support in Bloomington, even before the game last night. I think his buyout is still large, so I doubt anyone will pony up, but like you said, next year is it for him.

So why is Indiana so easy to recruit? Answer= primarily Bob Knight and the program he built. Stuff has not been nearly as easy since Bob left town. Some of you seem to forget that certain schools only became "easy to recruit" kids because of a great coach that built a legacy and program. As I said, I expect next season to be Tom's last in Bloomington unless his Hoosiers are much better in league play and the Dance. Hail to Pitt!

During the Maui Invitational ...

... I talked to a number of Purdue fans and their dislike of Tom Crean is much greater than ours.

Did any of them think that you resemble him somewhat? Hail to Pitt!

LOL ...

... none of the Purdue fans did, but I have indeed heard that before (more than once),
