Really nice affair today. Packed house with standing room. The return of many ex Panthers. An entertaining scrimmage. And a whole lot of talent in the house with A.D and Fitz and a surprise entry in the first quarter by Shady toting his little son and HOFer Curtis Martin in the house to boot. I saw a real nice moment before the game when Walt came in and as he walked along the sideline he came up behind Fitz and tapped him on the shoulder. Fitz turned around and when he saw Walt he put the biggest smile on his face you ever wanted to see and they had a heartfelt embrace. Good stuff.
Saw some nice performances. The ones that really stuck out were Avonte Maddox and Ty Jarrett. Jarrett is a beast and will cause great havoc for opponents this year.
One major negative was the cluster trying to get in and out of Highmark stadium. Very poor access for any type of crowd. Although the atmosphere was really nice I will be glad when the game is back at Heinz.
