1. Just a tough one from the Get Go last Thursday. No rhythm. No continuity. Seemed almost like a sleep walk up until Halftime. Still love the almost never before seen adjustments that are continually made at halftime by this staff that seemingly pull rabbits from a hat each week.
2. Tyler was clearly injured Thursday night. He & Pitt won't admit it but that cheap shot (Wow how was that not a penalty?) after NP missed him in triple coverage rattled his cage & he wasn't the same old TB we know the rest of the game.
3. Yeah Nate's human and he's a kid who's played about 10 college games so let's not be too tough on him. Oh & please, please, please stop clamoring for Chad. NP is the best QB we've had since the much maligned Stull. Had a tough outing. It happens.
4. Wonder if Cheney & Haley hail from the same clock mgmt school? Not his best night last Thursday. Can't glue your 235 hammer of a TB to the sideline cause he missed a few pass blocking assignments. Do we have a screen pass in the playbook etc, etc...
5. UNC has some athletes. Wow. Looked like Pitt was running in quicksand out there at times. The Dooz n co must get more speed and fast twitch into the Program.
6. Seems our shortcomings on D are being exposed a little more as the opposition's pedigree increases. The difference however is that this staff mixes things up and / or tries new personnel. Anything to get a different result. Pretty impressive.
7. Shudder to think how good we'd be if Big James was healthy. Probably wouldn't see many QB sneaks on 3rd n a long one that's for sure. See point #4 for my thoughts on that train wreck of a call.
8. Once again what a call on the fake punt. River Boat Ron's got nothing on Vegas Pat.
9. Man Whitehead is a player. Hard to believe he's a true Fr. Let's get 10 more like him!
10. Always pumped for ND week and especially for the chance to beat that pompous little man's complex bully Kelly. Their athleticism is scary but if we can just pound the rock & shorten the game I like Pitt's chances.
