-Pat Bostick bleeds blue and gold. Such a nice man. I meant to ask him if he was ever going to consider getting into coaching but it slipped my mind. After I said how much I loved him for winning 13-9 and ND he responded "and didnt play much after that" with a huge grin on his face. I don't care how little he played he'll always be one of my favorite panthers.
-Conklin was also a very nice down to earth guy. He brought my expectations back to reality. After I said are you going to be as disappointed if we don't win the National Championship this year he said to give them a few years to win that.
-Conklin said he was concerned about the back end of the defense. I was shocked by that cause I thought we have some players there but when probing further he clarified that he meant they need some depth. He seems very high on Maddox, Amara, and Mitchell.
-Staff is really high on Jarrett and our DT's in general. Biggest concern seems to be DE. Price is getting back into it "slowly."
-When asked about what players would start for Michigan State he went with Boyd and Conner then just started babbling off random names. Some notable ones he mentioned though was Jarrett, JJS, and Dontez Ford. Ended talking about how Voytik is the best leader on this team.
-Says he's here at Pitt for the long haul but thats coach talk.
-Im excited to see this team in 3 years when they have their recruits and system in place but I also think we can win big this year, hopefully we do.
