Time to put Pitt's narrow escape from being upset by an inferior team behind us. I'm hoping Pitt doesn't play down to their competition like they did this past weekend, because I don't want them to take Okie St lightly. I think OSU is significantly better than their record, and despite losing a number of key players they still have a talented group. I'm HOPING that Narduzzi is being accurate with his synopsis that the secondary made a number of mental errors last weekend that can be cleaned up. I'm expecting a lot of 3 step drops and the ball to come out quickly this weekend. I think OSU will try to take the Pitt DL out of the game as much as possible with the quick throws and screens.

I see another big day for the rushing game for Pitt, and sadly another high scoring affair.

I have no idea what to expect. Even without the blown call, CMU pretty much dominated OSU at least from what I could glean from the stats. I suspect, for good reason, Narduzzi goes with what's working. Ground and pound until someone can stop us.

The MAC and Big 12 announced two-game suspensions for the officiating crew and replay officials from Saturday's Central Michigan-Oklahoma State game. This might be a good thing!!!!!

I agree. Hate on the Nitters all you want but Barkley is as good as advertised and Pitt effectively slowed him down. If they can keep up with OSU's receivers they should be able to pull this one out.

OSU offensive strength (passing attack) goes against our defensive weakness (DBs). So unless our front 4 without too much blitzing can make life miserable for the OSU QB, OSU is going to get their points.

The key is Pitt offensive strength (Rushing attack) goes against the weak OSU run D.

This is either a tight high-scoring game, or a long day for Pitt.

We are good at Safety, but Cornerback I worry

CMU also took OkSU to the last drive of the 4th quarter last year,, so the winning play was a fluke, but CMU being in it to the end - again- and holding a lead with a few minutes left- again- was not.

WRONG

-This matchup is about Pitt's Defensive line front 4 creating pressure vs Oklahoma State's Oline getting pass protection. Penn State's spread happy offense had 4 turnovers (and 5 Fumbles) and we sacked them 4 times. You 100% go right after them on the Dline with different blitz packages. This team is Penn State with zero run game. They are the exact same team as Penn State without Barkley. Yes, I think Penn State would beat them. And I think we should beat them. Central Michigan shut this team down to 330 yards last week. Their Oline sucks. Go right after that weakness and continue to punish it until they adjust for it.

Yep, Coach Pat & Staff was doing that at 4:01Pm on Saturday about one minute after the Penn State game was over! I think Coach Pat & Matt have special plan for the Cowboys!

Just saw 'Hoosiers" again, never get tired of it! Pitt Knocks off OKSU then UNC this will be a very Special Year for Pitt!

Big plays is what we must avoid.
We do that, we win.
PSU is not a bad football team, but it is their 2nd game under new OC. I don't like them or their leadership/funko Harris types by any measure, but they have some splendid players who deserve respect...at least IMHO.
