Tino

i didn't know you needed a coach to know how to bend into a standing fetal position just before 2 LBs and a dlineman wrecked you. thought that was more of a survival instinct thing, hardwired into the tinosaurus brain.

Why do you feel a post like this is necessary? Does it make you feel better to try a tear other people down.

IMO you must have a very sad life.

He comes from a football family and likely has forgotten more about football than you have ever known.

Is just the kind of player that would make a good coach. His accomplishments were base more on hard work and effort rather than natural ability.

..Tino was the best we had at the time...

It wasn't Tino's fault that he was as bad as he was and Pitt had no other option. But, I do understand the frustration of Pitt fans who had to endure 4 years of his consistently crappy QB play

Great Pitt Alumni & Bama (Vinnie) Family with CFB NCS Rings and will become a very good coach like his Father was at Ulou, LSU, MSU, UTenn, Bama and FSU and now with Oakland Raiders and son Vinnie playing with the Saints.

Tino always gave it his all and another Great Central Catholic Graduate. Great Pittsburgh Small Business Family Owners with Stores on the Strip District.

Wouldn't u want an alum ,to do well, cc ties, I think you need some pepperoni bread shoved in one of ur openings, not sure which one, leave it go loser.

It's too bad that Tino became the whipping-boy for everything that sucked about Pitt football at that time.

How many different offensive coordinators did he have while at Pitt?

The fact that he made a nice chunk of change playing football after he left Pitt should tell us exactly how bad that Pitt's football program used to be. We criticize the Nits for their mishandling of Hackenberg, but Pitt's coaching carousel did Tino no favors either.....

To Tino's critics: how much money have you made playing professional football? And is FSU knocking on your door to coach there?

His scholie was based on his last name. Still cashing in, I see.

Thanks for coming to my defense Uncle Bobby.......

But every coach failed to recruit anyone better. No matter who was coaching, Tino was still the best QB that Pitt had at the time. ;)

Tino shouldn't be criticized because Pitt (1) couldn't keep coaches, and (2) couldn't recruit anyone talented enough to be his replacement.

So what?? It doesn't change what I posted. Of course, you are right about Pitt screwing up. But perhaps they expected too much from him??

If you know or been around Pitt since 1970-80-90's you know the Family. Anyone can be proud of the deeds their own and shared with others from the seeds they grew up with in Pittsburgh and learned at Central Catholic and Pitt.

I look at it like What UTenn with Johnny Majors. Bama with Jackie Sherill, and Youngstown with Narduzzi all gave and are giving to Pitt. Sal and his son's have the same for UTenn and Bama and many others but never forget Pitt Is It within them.

Get off our board and quit taking shots at our players you loser troll. Go crawl back in whatever hole you crawled out of.

Tino was the best option we had at the time and I supported his efforts on the field during the turmoil. He did have a poor filter in speaking publicly at times, which didn't do his likability any favors with fans. Throwing his kicker under the bus after the ND loss and his tweet rooting for FSU to beat Pitt in the ACC opener come to mind as examples. Then again, his own coach, Todd Graham treated him like garbage openly in front of the media, so he didn't have the best example to model his actions.

Tino's uncle Gusty was a very fine DB for Carnegie Mellon, 1976-1979.

I was trying to remember his first name. If I'm not mistaken, he went to Bishop Boyle in Homestead (same as GB Packers coach Mike McCarthy) instead of Central Catholic. I think Boyle closed down sometime in the 1980s. Football teams weren't that great, but they had quite the basketball program, with an interesting pipeline to Puerto Rico that kept the WPIAL in eligibility hearings. Also had one of the all=time great team nicknames--the Lancers. (That's right--Boyle Lancers!)

I wasn't asking you anything NTOP. But since you chirped in why are you a hater?
Well, since you haven't figured out how to put your reply with the post to which you're replying, who would know?? Duhhhhhh.....

Actually, I would say quite the opposite.

Aside from an inability to throw a deep pass, he had quite a bit of ability. He just didn't have the mental ability to use it, paticularly in pressure situations.

Round two? Weren't you satisfied with round one? Listen partner I went to Central Catholic, Pitt and CMU. I'm smarter than you are so deal with it.

Keep bragging, dippy. Did you like Central Michigan?? Maybe you could ask one of your neighbors to teach you how to reply to a post. Just hustle over to the doublewide to your left.....ooops, you may need help figuring THAT out, too. Such blowhard.

Let it go NTOP. We don't have doublewides in Fox Chapel. Weirdly you got personal about Cam Johnson and high jacked a thread over here to continue pushing your personal issues. You come off as a little bitch. Super insecure or something. You don't have the juice to be on this side. Go back to hoops and beat me up over there. I'm on hoop side everyday. Beat me over there. I know you never played football but did I elbow on the chin in a hoop game in high school or something? If I did I apologize.

I've noticed that you like to brag. Always sign of an over-inflated ego. Big hat, no cattle. And exactly how do you know I never played FB??

So you are insecure! Knew it. You, in your lame ass way, questioned my intellect so I gave you my academic credentials so you could evaluate our communication going forward. Then you questioned where or how I live and I gave you a clue so you didn't look like an idiot to the 30-40 members that I know that frequent the football side of our site. Now you're questioning my athletic background. I can make you look like an idiot there as well but I won't unless you beg me for abuse. Not bragging just dealing with a very insecure keyboard funny guy. Let me say it again. Got back to the hoop side and beat me up tonight. Or drop by at the Lville game and let me get you a beer. I always considered you a great member on the hoop side, which I always will. But let's move on please. You feel free to take the last shot NTOP and I won't respond.
