I don't think it has anything to do with Pitt. Some people have been calling the PIT Steelers... PITT. Well because they are dumb. I think this hat is a derivative of that.

It’s still wincing to see highlights of relatively recent greats, like Larry Fitzgerald on the scoreboard the other night, wearing uniforms and helmets that look absolutely nothing like Pitt. Larry, Shady, Boyd, Donald, even early Conner in those ridiculous ‘cathedral font’ things. Wish AI could be used to edit all footage of everything from 1997 to show our guys in how they really should have looked. Don’t bother doing it for Tino though😝

It actually looked like “Pat” when I first saw it. Maybe he’s a Duz fan! And why not, with Wisconsin soon on our schedule, those should be relaxing victories (albeit 6-0 games) for all their alum…
