Don't worry. Next week Pitt will beat Duke(1 of the worst teams in college football) and then everyone will feel great inside and claim Pitt is the greatest and we can still do big things.
And if we had a good football coach that was coaching the team I would agree with all the Polyanna's.
Unfortunately we have Naruzzi(No D in his name anymore for me) and he couldn't coach a defense if Buddy Ryan himself was reincarnated and taught him. Year 7 and our defense is a pathetic joke. Over 20 missed tackles.
So don't worry about us realists and negative nellies. Next week after Duke you guys can all beat your chests once again and claim Pitt has a real chance at a NYD Bowl and an ACC championship. Until we lose to North Carolina. And Virginia.
Then we can all lament together it's same ol' Pitt. I tried to believe guys and gals. I really did. But this awful performance by the defense brought me back to Western Michigan and every other team that has a QB who can throw the ball downfield.
Look I think we finish 8-6. Maybe 9-5. I did think 7-5 but after thinking about it I think we definitely beat Duke and Syracuse. And honestly that's probably about it. Maybe we get a mediocre bowl opponent in the mediocre bowl I'm sure now we will end up in and we can win that one. But Kenny won't be playing in it so that's probably a loss too.
So yeah 8-6. That's what I think with an outside shot at 9-5.
