The difference between a pro coach and college coach is the ability to change courses during a game. A pro coach, if something isn't working, adapts quickly. He said most college coaches don't do that. An example of a coach who does is the Ark-Little Rock coach who told him that he has up to something like 12 different game plans in case something isn't working for offense and defense. Barkley said most college coaches have their philosophy and become hard-headed and just don't adjust and stick with what they are comfortable with. Kind of the square peg/round hole thing. Hmm..seems like I know a coach like that. Everybody knew that Wisconsin's game is very methodical offense and they play clamp down defense. Our half-court offense has stunk all year. Why not play uptempo and get them out of their likings? When we ran with Duke we crushed them. The OCC games we ran a lot and played uptempo and won. When we stand around on offense and pass and pass and pass and pass and shoot some stupid off-balance shot with 2 seconds on the clock just doesnt work. I would love to coach against Pitt. Pretty simple formula to beat them. Folks this ain't rocket science. Recruit well and adjust during games.

That is why not playing Luther more and running more pisses everybody off. The worst that could have happened is you lose. Oh, wait. We did.
