To the jagoff who called Peterman terrible...

Good stuff to see for Nate and Ejuan... but it's becoming bit of a stretch to call Ejuan Price underrated with each passing week. He's not exactly flying under the radar, at this point in his career.

it wasn't me, I was actually one of the more positive posters defending Nate in the off season.. I've been disappointed this year though, was hoping for more progress with him and have been disappointed.. I actually think he is more talented than what he's shown this year.

His inability to throw a deep ball, any deep ball, is mind boggling. I mean the dude can throw it over the fountain at the point, into a garbage can, he cant hit a human being 35 yards down field? Come on Nate, your hot wife wants to see you hit a deep ball, do it for her..

I suspect that he is resting after another night of Poker....and he is probably thinking of negative posts for tonight's game!

One of our usual negative nancies said it. I don't think he is great. He is an above average to good college qb and is better than most we've had in recent memory.

He's an average P-5 QB. Sadly that's better than anything else we currently have in the fold. I bet he's a super guy, smart and most likely headed for a great career in something. Not as a pro football player, but there's no shame in that.

He does what he has to,that's who he is,he probably could throw for 300 yards per game if that is what type of offense we run but it's not and that's why he's numbers are much lower than most

I'm not saying he is great, but to say he's an avg power 5 QB is wrong.

Pitt fans, we watch Pitt on Saturdays and then we watch the best games on that weekend. Usually features 2 elite teams, which have elite QBs. We don't flip on the games with the struggling QB playing.

Peterman is ranked 19 out of 65 power 5 schools in QBR. QBs ahead of him are from Louisville, Washington, UNC, FSU, USC, Michigan, Tex A&M, Alabama.

Spend a weekend and watch Maryland play Purdue and Wake vs Boston College and tell me Peterman is still average.

You want to compare him to below avg QB's and I agree, he is better than him. If we compare him to above avg QB's, he'll be worse... thus you are wrong. He is avg. That's why he left Tennessee, because he wasn't good enough to play there.

And you probably called and thought Tom Savage was average and the guy is a second string QB in the NFL

Chad pennington has a better QB Rating than dan marino.. Just saying..

Peterman is the reason Pitt beat Marshall. He iced it twice at the end and while he is no Tyler Palko he's far from terrible.

Uh people bitching about long throws??? He hasn't attempted that many... and I'm not at all sold that it's entirely on him either.... the WRs have been improving game to game ... but it's not like he had Fitz to throw to all year....

I said it and I stand by it, the guy is a below average D1 quarterback and yeah I think he's terrible with brief flashes of decent play. You wanna be a top team? Not with this guy as our quarterback.

The part about being a top team is correct. The rest - well - you're wrong.

I told you guys, anyone who thinks this guy is a good quarterback needs to have their head examined.

Horrible pick and he is awful.

No, Tom Savage had a big time arm. He was the last really good QB we had. Look at Peterman's numbers. Look at his ability to hit the targets downfield. Look at how many of his passes in the early games this season WR's had to leave their feet to catch or that were poorly placed.

He's not without talent. He's better than Chad and he's the best player we have at that position. He's NEVER won a game with his arm at Pitt or Tennessee. He wasn't good enough to do it last night. He's an average P-5 QB and he won't be an NFL QB. If you want to fall in love with him that's cool but don't pour syrup on shit and call it pancakes.

yeah, speaking of sadly, he runs an offense that puts up 36 a game but yet is continually listed as part of Pitt's problem by many of the experts on this forum......

Upj, I don't think we need to "get nuance" to understand that the running game MIGHT have something to do with that point total... Furthermore, I'm not saying the guy sucks, I said he's an average P-5 QB.

Be honest with yourself and look at the other QB's in the ACC, is he better than Watson, Kaaya, Lamar Jackson, Mitch Trubisky, Eric Dungey, Jerod Evans, hell, Diondre Francois who's a freshman! NO! HE'S NOT!

He's an AVERAGE QB in a P-5 Conference. He was so average in the SEC he couldn't even start on an AVERAGE SEC team the entire time he was there... what's the shame in this? Can someone please point to the exceptional stats or qualities that would make him so different than... Patrick Townes at B.C. or Thomas Sirk at Duke?

He's good enough to win some games and manage the offense. Some games he looks good out there but you can't count on him to win one or take it over. He's not that talented! That's what average looks like. It's the middle of the road for where you are. Welcome to Nate Peterman. Btw, being an avg P-5 Starter would be pretty freaking awesome but lets not overstate the expectation like he's a part of the answer to what's ailing Pitt.
