Wilt Chamberlain pulled down 55 rebounds. 55. That is 55 missed shots.

There is no official box score for this game for some reason. It involved Wilt's Phjlly "before they were Golden State" Warriors against the Celtics.

But that was the then Bill Russell led Celtics, where he routinely averaged over 20 rebounds a game. So there is conjecture just how many rebounds there were, guestimates were around 140.

I wonder if guys averaged more rebounds then because there where way more shots and they shot less accurately? Back in the '60s and '70s as I remember it, it was routine for NBA scores to be in the 130s or 140s or higher.
