Today in Pitt BB history

Beyond being an incredible moment - thst was such an important game. I remember our NCAA hopes were waning a bit - I think there was fatigue setting in with a roster short Fields and Cook. Fields was close to returning- but needed to stay afloat until he got back to full strength.

There was a collective gasp and silence as that ball left Ramon’s hands until it splashed the net.

I think that team ended up winning the BET vs Gtown. What a fun season.

I was at work that night tracking the game online. I thought I was seeing things when the score flipped in the final seconds

Speaking of tracking things online, I had to watch a pirates feed of Pitt/Oakland during Dixon II. It went out with like a minute left so I'm watching the ESPN Gamecast and it shows Final. Oakland won and I'm super pissed. Then a few minutes later, it shows the game in OT. You have no idea what feeling that is when you go from a gut-wrenching loss to winning the game in OT

We went to that game with my son and were about to leave, but then James Robinson stepped up and helped bring us back.
