The yellow jaw line ....much better.
Looks fantastic on white jersey .

I like it. I'd like to see us bring back helmet stickers like the Marino era. Circular stickers with that logo on them.

The Pitt Athletics Instagram is posting video of each uniform as they hit the stage. The number font is consistent on all of the uniforms and it looks good!

It looks awesome. They are great. And there is still a lot of possibilities with 3rd jerseys. I love the gray baseball ones.

Look great. The numbers remind me of the Cathedral. Is the yellow slightly darker then before.

We finally get our colors back and some aren't happy with the numbers? Man tough crowd
People will always find something to complain about. One of the reasons they do unique number fonts is to cut down on counterfeits.

I give it an 9 out of 10 .
I can live with the number font. At least they kept the throwbacks.
Not in love with the basketball blue uniforms.

I believe the baseball team had a full body panther silhouette on the back. We may have another secondary logo.

Nope, they don't look good on the football uniform. They're fine in the smaller format on the other jerseys. I can't imagine there are many people who truly believe the new jersey is better than the retro ones they wore last season.

Basketball shorts have a stripe on one side and the Panther head on the other, they should have just gone with stripes on both sides.

The football helmet has the stripe all the way down the back and not cut off 3 quarters of the way down.
Big improvement.

There’s things I like and things I don’t like. That’s how things are with most overhauls like this I feel. And overall, the things I like outweigh the things I don’t like, so... overall, I’m content.

Sorry, but from my point of view, the colors today and on the throw-backs are not OUR colors.

Pitt's official colors for a hundred years or so were navy blue and old gold. The canary or mustard yellow and the lighter blues were just temporary modificatuons designed to sell merchandise.

I think we actually wore the midnight blue and vegas gold LONGER than the mustard and various lighter blues. I sat down and counted our W/L record in midnight and vegas vs mustard and lighter blue. The Pederson era uni's actually won more games.

I don't really want to start the argument again. I really don't care what colors the Administration wants to sell. If Duzz and/or Capel are successful, the colors shown today may stay long enough to become established.

If either or both HC's crash and burn, we'll be having a NEW reveal in a few years.

Disappointed. Don't hate but disappointed taken the script off the collar. Should put the panther head on the top back above name plate. And left the home numbers white. The number font will grow on me but if I wear that jersey as is, people have no idea who the heck we are. Nothing screams Pitt like having that script on your chest.

You are framing stats to prove a point. The total wins in this general color scheme were lower because the the latter part of that era was the lowest of the lows. However, the greatest teams, years, and moments wore those uniforms. So the highs were wayyyy higher than the pederson colors. That’s why people are sentimental.

The “old old” colors are nice, but they have never appeared on a modern football uniform. There is no athletic connection for most people (unless you are over 60, and watched live). Part of me thought that was a dark horse (with a throwback in the actual chosen colors).

Win or lose, color fads change, and with them, typically after a 3-5 year lag of peak popularity, so will Pitt's athletic colors.

And because of this, there will still be 30 different shades of blue and gold in the stands. Pitt's practical tradition is essentially not knowing its traditions, resulting in be-speckled blue and gold pallet that appears like a glop oozing from a Crayola factory fire.

These are fine, but IMO, a giant yawn that neither invokes tradition or a new future, but rather Mike Gottfried and Paul Evans. Not that anyone expected differently as the change was generally the school's worst kept secret.

I will say, my personal favorite combination is blue script with gold outline on a black background. To me, that is truly eye popping, and while they sold things with that scheme back in the 90s, never incorporated it into any official gear.

The highs...Majors and Sherrill... did not wear that bright of blue and gold. These are closest to Mike Gottfried/Paul Hackett era unis. That is the only historical precedent to this shade of blue and gold. It's almost "Pittsburgh gold", meaning Steeler bright yellow.

I do like they are going back to use the script "Panthers".
