Anyone else feel this way? Not spectacular on offense, but solid all around, but in defense a total lock down stud.
I don’t know if he can be as savvy as Jaron and he has a good way to go to be his equal as a passer or ball handler. Don’t forget that Jaron was the back up to Brandin at the point as a freshman and sophomore.Anyone else feel this way? I see Toney’s game maybe developing a bit into like DJ Kennedy. And that would be fine by me.I don’t know if he can be as savvy as Jaron and he has a good way to go to be his equal as a passer or ball handler. But he certainly has the potential to be a better shooter and scorer, not to mention being in Jaron’s league or better as a defender.
They are both clutch. Two different types of players. Jaron was a tad smaller and not as long nor as athletic. He was a more of a bull dog, savvy guy who uses his bulk to get to the hoop and defend. Just a really smart basketball player. Also as DT mentioned he had a much better handled and ran the point or was used as a point forward.
Toney is a higher end athlete who can be a better all around player in time. I honestly dont see the comparison other than they both are very good players.
