Players to watch with Pitt reference:

Aston
Flacco ( started his college with Pitt )
Ollison

Barclay ( Seneca Valley grad )

We can't claim Flacco.
True. But literally every Steeler-Ravens game he played in, and perhaps other Ravens games for that matter, the announcers inevitably mentioned that he started at Pitt. For that reason, more people (who saw those games on tv, at least) probably know of his Pitt start than where he finished; and, more probably know of his Pitt association than that of most of the active players in the league who played at Pitt throughout.

Tuned in and out of this ... game, I suppose it technically is called. Aston got a LOT of PT that I noticed, though they used a lot of different sets. He had a couple nice looking blocks (and one take down that probably should have been called a Hold). Ollison looked to be playing a lot of TB in the fourth qtr. I saw one nice little 5 yard run where he made a nice cut. But he got creamed in the backfield on a couple others (not his fault). It was totally garbage time by then (as opposed to mostly garbage of the first 3 quarters) so NBC was annoyingly showing the announcers in the booth interviewing some guy named Dick for like 20 min and ignoring the plays Ollison was in for.

Why was I expending such time? Football baby football. After our awful finish, the Steelers crappy finish, a crappy Pens season, a crappy Pitt hoops season (yeah not as bad as Stallings but it still was crappy) and of course the utter joke of the Pirates... man I was glad to see even a semblance of a new football season. Ahhhhhh...

god bless you guys for actually watching this just because a Pitt player is going to actually touch the ball. You are bigger fans than me. Jesus.....
