2. Jester Weah, Pittsburgh
Weah didn’t catch a single pass in his first two seasons as a Panther. And then he went from 0-60 in a flash, apropos for the former high school track star. The light went on for the big-play Weah, who parlayed 36 receptions into 870 yards and 10 touchdowns. He’s set at the measurables, 6-3 and 210 pounds with explosive speed and leaping ability. If he continues to sharpen the finer points of his game, he and transfer QB Max Browne will be lethal this fall.

Could not be happier for this kid considering the constant bashing he took on this site alone by people who supposedly were to be his best fan's. Everyday it seemed like someone was making a entry attacking his catching skills.
And then when he dropped a certain TD pass in the endzone as a RS Soph it only got worse as it seemed he became a running joke....I thought it was totally overkill & unmerited. In general most college players never see the field until they are Jr's if they see any consistent PT at all in their time as a player in college.
And it was not like Jester came into Pitt as a Can't Miss like say the kid who went to Alabama who will not end up being the receiver that Jester will become when it's all said & done.
I do not know why so many of our fan's think if a kid is not producing as a Frosh then chances are he's not going to amount to much.....I know I get into more arguments on here over going to bat for players that have yet to really make their name while others are always grabbing at the low hanging fruit. It's easy to jump on the bandwagon & take the safe bet but can people look at a player, see his talents & how hard he works & continue to believe in his future as having a real impact for our Panthers.
Do all the kid's pan out ...of course not but for the most part it's worth sticking w/ them & encouraging them to keep working hard as there was a reason they got to Pitt in the first place because someone saw something in them...
This year I'm gonna say Elijah Zeise will be our emerging All ACC (potentially) player as a RS Jr. I think there was a reason he managed to earn/ work his way as a starter considering he only made the switch from WR in the previous Spring...Now I know he came in w/ a little more of a name than Jester as a WR / Athlete but he's gonna do it as a LB. Just my opinion.

HAIL to PITT !!!

weah is a great story.. im really looking forward to seeing a Healthy Tipton and now Matthews with a spring ball under his belt. Hoping one of these two can be that consistent #2. I'd guess Tipton would be a better fit as playing opposite of Weah.. I like his athleticism, just missing that 'Consistency' factor..

I named Zeise as a breakout type player in a thread a few weeks ago. I really think he is going to surprise with his athleticism and his intelligence. I believe his injury along with Hendrix's injury really hurt the defense last year.

Weah, will get an opportunity to play on Sundays and couldn't be happier for him. Have to enjoy a young man who works hard to improve and then see that hard work payoff. Will he stick in the NFL, who knows, but he will get the chance, IMO, as a F.A. or draft pick and I think he makes a roster.

I know many differ from me, and i accept that without offense and no need to correct me, but I see him as another Fitz, he has the size, speed and focus to follow the ball, just me, but that is how I see Weah and now the ACC does too! Watch and Weah!

We...Ah...Pitt...Just Like Fitz!
