I'm not very familiar with the OSU story, but in comparison to PSU their sanctions seemed pretty harsh or PSU's seemed seemed incredibly light.

I'm just thinking about this because of Tressel's name being mentioned for AD. It seems a lot of Pitt fans want nothing to do with him because of the tattoo episode. Meanwhile, PSU has no problem hiring Franklin from Vanderbilt and Barron from FSU despite the rape investigations at those schools. It still seems incredible to me that they would make those two hires after the Sandusky story, no matter what their involvement actually was.

I have little doubt that if Pitt would hire Tressel, though, the criticism from the local media would be far greater than what PSU received for their those two hires.

Anytime there is a rape, there is going to be an investigation. That doesn't mean there was a cover up or the coach is connected.

Tressel lied to NCAA investigators when they had the goods on him. Thats a big no-no, thus the show cause penalty. That said, screw the media. We need to get back to playing the way the big dogs do it. I would be all for it.
