Whether or not JC turns pro, am I the only one worried our ultra-deep running back situation will take a hit due to a possible transfer?? I mean, I love getting 4* stars every year and see them produce. Then I worry about 'touches' and who's not getting them and then hearing so and so is transferring. Again, depending on Conner's decision, does anyone see Ollison/Hall/Moss leaving after this season? I think Ollison/Hall are 2nd year and Moss is 1st, eligibility wise. Just curious..

It would not surprise me in the least that ollison transfers. went from 1100 yards to ???did he get 100 for the year

Don't see why you'd be concerned with Moss leaving. He was clearly #2 as a true frosh so they must like him. The other 2 it wouldn't shock me.

Sibley looks like a player but of course you never know.

On a related issue, I don't think any of the backups are in Conner's league.

They should all know how quickly things can change, due to injury.

Wasn't Pitt using their fourth or fifth string running back last year?

I think Oillison will work on the blocking this off season and come back strong in 2017. Hopefully he realizes that and sticks around.

Ollison and Hall need to work on catching the ball. Both are straight ahead power guys.

I think Moss, Ollison and Hall are decent backs, but there's no Shady, Dion or Ray in the bunch...

I'd like to see them find a guy with some quickness and some zig-zag game.

Go Pitt.

Goodness, I sure hope Ollison stays and gets significantly more opportunities next year. I feel what we saw him do in his first year of playing was nothing compared to what he is fully capable of doing. It may take him a few carries to get going in a game but when he starts to feel it, he becomes very dangerous. More so in my opinion than Hall or Moss. Though, I like them too and I am excited to see what Sibley can do.

If Connor leaves, which most of us suspect.... That leaves a 3 way race with those that return. I would thank that Moss, Hall, Ollison all have enough confidence in that battle. But none of us know what the coaches & players know with the off-season standing and potential growth for each in their areas of need. WIth that in mind, I'm not sure any would leave.. However, when you add Sibley to the mix, the competition gets a little tighter. I am really high on Sibley, but he still has a learning curve, and adjust to College ball... I'm still not sure anyone leaves... Another, however... If we also pull in Davis... Then the writing is on the wall for somebody... and the decisions will have to be made.... And what if Connor returns... What this means... is there "alot" of "if's" that still need answered before anyone makes any decisions.....
Should be interesting... I just hope we keep the depth.. as we have seen before, you always need a good stable at that position....

If Oillison could improve his blocking, he could certainly see more playing time as a fullback.

the kids have to compete and improve if they can't then herd thins itself

I don't really think any will transfer. Competition makes you stronger. I guess possibly Ollison but we will still have a good stable

How many collegiate backs are in James"s league?
Check out the backs projected to be drafted in the first three rounds. There's your answer and it's a pretty good number and those are only the seniors and those who have decided to go pro. That doesn't include underclass men like Deshaun Barkley.
