Here's a look at where things stand with Pitt's 2023 recruiting class as of Tuesday morning.
17 total commitments
13 announced
4 unannounced
2 unannounced from the official visits two weeks ago
1 unannounced from this past weekend
1 mystery unannounced commit from last night
We've talked about the unannounced commitments from two weeks ago quite a bit. From this past weekend, I've said that the one unannounced commitment came from the defensive backs who visited - Jesse Anderson and Jaremiah Anglin - and there's a good chance the other defensive back from the weekend will commit as well.
As to the mystery unannounced recruit who committed last night, it really is a mystery. I have a few guesses, including the mystery recruit who visited over the weekend but has worked pretty hard to keep that visit a secret. That's probably my current running theory, but as of this morning, it's all pretty much unknown. So we'll see what happens.
I do think that the unannounced commitment from this past visit weekend will break his silence soon - probably today. But it should be an interesting day as we work to figure out where things stand with the others.
