Turkey shoots down Russian jet

saying they gave 10 warnings. i didn't see it but my buddy at work said he heard a report that one of the pilots was shot and killed upon landing.

i think everyone saw this type of disaster coming a mile away. russia has repeatedly (reported by turkey) been in and out of turkey's air space. there's that little portion of turkey that dips down into syria and i guess the russian planes just don't want to go around but instead, fly over turkey. what a mess.

I have a feeling Putin won't take this too lightly..

no, i don't think he takes too many things lightly.

i know turkey has to protect their air space. i get it. but man, i think you really gotta think things through before you shoot down a russian jet.

rebels shot pilot while he was parachuting to land? Sounds like that movie with Owen Wilson and Gene Hackman.. Russia vs. NATO, should be interesting.. Is it wrong to root for Russia?

I'm ok with this.. I know who Russia is fighting, im not so convinced on what side these so called Syrian rebels are on, ditto with our administration. Also a tad confused how the pilot was shot and killed by an isis terrorist on the ground in Syria. how is that possible if the plane wasn't over Syria? Windy day I guess.

A lot of unanswered questions, think i'll wait to hear more facts before waving any nato flags.
