TV tonight?

here we go again. I have ACCN. But I can’t seem to access ESPN+. I guess I’ll try again.
If you have the ACCN through a live tv provider you can access ACCNX through the ESPN app. Do you have te ESPN app on a smart tv. Or through a Roku or firestick?

People get so confused with ACCNX vs ESPN+. Probably the better way to explain it is that just that its on the ESPN App. If you get ACC Network, you can use your credentials to authenticate and watch the game. If you dont have ACC Network, then you must be an ESPN+ subscriber.

I have TV access to the regular ESPN channels (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU) but I don’t have access to the ACCN or SECN. I am an ESPN+ subscriber (and live outside of Pittsburgh) and I can generally watch every Pitt game on the ESPN network including ACCN via the ESPN app with my ESPN+ login (except the Miss State game on SECN was blocked).

In general what SMF said is true however you can’t watch games on ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU with ESPN+ on the app if you don’t have TV access to that specific ESPN channel. When DirectTV contract was suspended in September, I couldn’t watch the Pitt/UC game which was on ESPN with my ESPN+ account on the app, So it’s more convoluted than it needs to be.

In the app, the game tonight is specifically indicated to be on ACC Extra/ESPN+ and the same for Sam Houston. Cal game is TBD. The rest of the January games are ESPN, 2 or U except for Clemson which isn’t listed yet.

I don't know why people explain this every time. Some people will never get it or they are messing with you.

ESPN+ does NOT give access to anything that airs on an ESPN TV Channel (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ACCN, SECN). The reason that folks without ACCN or SECN access can watch some of their team's games are because some of those cupcake games (football and basketball) are not on "TV" (ie ACCN or SECN). These games are branded as ACCNX or SECNX (or whatever they call theirs).

Pitt's final non-TV game of the year will be vs SHSU, meaning you will need to have the ESPN channels, including ACCN to watch them, beginning in January.

One other note. Essentially, all ACC/SEC Olympic Sports can be viewed with an ESPN+ subscription because a tiny percentage of those games are on "TV." So if you are a volleyball fan or wrestling or whatever, ESPN+ gets you what you want.

If anyone wants to watch a game they missed or re-watch one, the Acc digital network on YouTube has been posting most if not all full games for replay a few days after they're played.
