I have been under the assumption that international players cannot receive NIL payments due to being legally in the country on a student visa, not a work visa. I believe that was part of the reason that the team went to Spain & the Canary Islands over the summer. International players CAN receive NIL while in their home country.
So what other options do they have? I would think it would be hard for other programs to use NIL to try to pull them away from Pitt due to this odd rule.
