Two minute warning?

Not a “Warning” a timeout.
The NFL uses the warning word, as though someone will be shot, or some terrible event is about to happen. It’s a notice, not a warning. Leave it up to the NFL to hype the shiz out of everything it can.

Something terrible is about to happen. In only two more minutes the game will be over.

It's going to be a warning to the Steelers this year.

Warning: if you do not score in the next 120 seconds, you will finish with 0 points again.

Reece Davis mentioned this last night. Said they were “asked not to call it a warning”
Does the NFL have that trademarked?

I heard that too and tried to research why. Still not exactly sure, but I read that when the NFL started it back in the 1940's, it was an actual warning, or notification to fans that there were only 2 minutes left in the game, as the time was only kept by officials on the field back then.
