UNC +3.5 @ Pitt

I guess we’re favored primarily because it’s a home game. I just hope we show up and play at the top of our game. I don’t know how good or bad UNC is, their record isn’t that great but 5 of those losses have been to Auburn, Alabama, Florida, Michigan St and Kansas.

Needed a miracle 4 point play to beat ND.

Needed a miracle comeback down 4 with 25 seconds left to beat BC.

Lost to Stanford.

They aren't as good as us. Doesn't mean they can't beat us but they are significantly worse than Clem and Lou.

We've definitely done extremely well against UNC across what feels like the past 4 seasons or so.

Lots of "miracles" happening lately. Just saw Houston beat Kansas after being down by six with 10 seconds left.

Although maybe Capel not fouling against Wisconsin is a little more deeply rooted than that. After seeing him choose not to foul against Louisville and Clemson while down a bucket in each with 30ish seconds left and the other team having possession where a score effectively ends the game (which, in both instances, is exactly what happened)... maybe Capel is just a staunch believer that basketball games ought to be a short as possible.

Let's hope, because the non-student fanbase is definitely not doing their part.

Said it a million times. If Pitt is not a threat to win a national championship, the local fanbase doesn't want to be bothered. As crazy as this sounds, local interest in Pitt football is only slightly more than the Riverhounds now, whose crowds of 4K-5K are what Pitt gets for most games.

honestly, thats pittsburghs fanbase in general no matter what team it is. Just wait a year or two and PPG will be a ghost town for Pens games.

To a point, yes, but Pirates attendance is phenomenal relative to how bad the team has been. I think it's that Yinzers just don't appreciate or "get" college sports. Its impossible to win a National Championship. There's too many teams. So for Dixon 2 or Capel 2, although those were bubble teams, Yinzers couldn't appreciate that journey to the tournament. Its like they don't understand that getting in and being part of March Madness is a big accomplishment in itself.

pirates were 25 out of 30 teams last year and if it werent for Skenes they would have been lower so not sure i can agree fully with you there.
