As I mentioned the other day, each one of these gets more and more difficult. More and more pressure on the kids each time out, and the level of difficulty goes up exponentially due to the previous losses. Until you get the first one, there is no relief whatsoever.

I was surprised that Roy Williams basically left his starters in that long. Found that very interesting.

Marcus was really good. I know a lot of the defense was a bit relaxed there at the end, but he took what the defense was giving and made the most of it. Made some very difficult shots. I feel for him. Has had some rough games but the kid is a player. You can see the emotion he plays with. I know it is wearing on him.

Jared plays hard and brought it again. Far from perfect, but he gives something. Still can't figure out why he loses the ball so much on drives. He is a strong kid and he gets such great positioning off of drives. Just fails to finish too often.

Good game from Terrell Brown too. Like I said from the beginning, he is the other freshman I feel good about other than Marcus. I know he plays nonchalantly and needs to gain a lot of weight, but there is a lot to work with for a true freshman big. The reaction time and defense will improve. What you can't teach is his touch and timing. He will be good in about a year and a half.

Other than that, I don't know. Shamiel always plays hard but he does not see the floor and cannot pass. Almost had a third of the turnovers in minor minutes from the forward spot.

Parker had another rough night but the 9 rebounds stick out. He just can't defend anyone and when he isn't converting from deep, there is nothing. He has lost the confidence he had there for a little with the drive.

Kham has come back to earth. Really struggling.

The Chukwuku-Ilegomah combination is just unplayable. Think you would be better off playing guards and trying Shamiel at center when Terrell is out.

Have to give them credit for the first 15-17 minutes. When threes are falling, that is what you can get. And when they aren't, that is what happens. The unfortunate thing is, you can't maintain that level of conversion from three. So when you can't get easy baskets and there is nothing inside, there is no way to counter it. There is no defense to counter it either, which is why I don't even mention that side.

The difference in talent is just incredible. Even with Brooks and Manley off of their bench. Both freshmen bigs. Just in a different world. The defense and effort was pretty disappointing to me tonight. Just so many easy shots. Simple passes off of inbounds under the hoop. There is no commitment to the glass.

Tough timing again, going to Carolina with them coming off of a three game losing streak. Going to Clemson may be more difficult.
