Pretty good rant.

BTW, I say this every year, but what is the point of leaving the behind the basket zoo sections empty and making the students sit it in the 100 level? After about 10 years, they finally started selling the sideline Zoo sections instead of leaving them empty but the behind the basket sections still just have cheerleaders

What's he referring to about the player from Bishop Canevin and the player from Hampton? They played at those schools last year and now play at Imani? Or is he saying they transferred mid-season?

I agree with his point that it is "not fair." I also wouldn't have a problem if refs immediately T up a high school player that is running his mouth at the opposing bench and coaches.

Private schools should compete in their own separate conferences . It isn't fair but this has been going on for years. But I do know some public schools that have done this but not as much. Oh well......

The BC kid was allowed to play at Imani. The SSA kid was allowed to play in the regular season but not playoffs at Hampton. I dont understand how they can make that ruling on a private school kid
electing to play for his hometown. More than anything though, the larger issue is that schools not bound by geography (Imani, LP, etc) should have to play up 2 classes. Imani should be 3A. LP should be 6A.

Play better!

It makes sense to everyone except the private schools and the WPIAL/PIAA. No reasonable person thinks it’s fair that community school teams have to play all-star club teams for the same playoff championship.

This subject has been debated for years, the WPIAL and PIAA have the nads to make a move and they did, they would be sued by those schools.

Yet, next door, has had separate classes for private schools for years. They also used to do a Tournament of Champions between all 6 champs. Not sure if they still do that

The basis is such, that the Catholic, private schools wouldn’t be allowed to play with the regular schools. They are allowed to so called recruit.

The irony of someone posting as "Sean Miller Fan" complaining about "hometown teams" competing against "recruited teams" is thick indeed. Some of us remember . . .

If the son was anywhere near the recruiter that the old man was no one would complain about his lack of championships or Final Fours.
