Update on Mintz

Don’t you think he would have mentioned Pitt if we were still in it? He’ll probably pick NC St.

NC State for sure. Everyone we recruit ends up there or eventually transfers to Indiana. It would be funny AF though if we lost a Top 75 commit from Maryland to play at friggin DePaul. Honestly, I totally forget they have a team and then I'll see them listed in the guide and I'm like "oh yea, DePaul is in the Big East."

I’m sure he is, it’s just crazy that none of those teams are good, wake forest is having a decent season but still, none of those schools are blue bloods

Syracuse is going through some rough times but they are a "near blue blood" with

Louisville
Arizona
UConn
Ohio State
Michigan
Michigan State
Florida
Indiana
etc

Lol DePaul?!?

I know people like to make jokes about them, but Stubblefield has some definite buzz going early on. I’ve always thought that was a diamond in the rough program that was just crying out for the right coach to get it on track. Between being in an elite league and located in a recruiting hotbed, there’s a whole lot to like there

There is no chance I'm sorry to say.
Do you know why? How did he got from a committed Pitt recruit to no chance so quickly? Usually when kids open back up their recruiting they'll still at least consider the initial school. Did something happen here?

Really? When kids open their recruiting back up they may say that they are still considering the initial school but they really aren't doing that--or if they are the initial school has moved to the bottom of their list. History--at least Pitt's history--shows that it is fairly rare to get a recommit after a decommit.

I suspect that in the case of Mintz Pitt is fully out-- unless he waits until the end of the season to commit and Pitt does the miraculous and finishes with 8-9 more wins showing progress towards becoming a winning program going forward.

DePaul made Bino Ransom and offer he couldn’t refuse and he’s one of THE GUYS in the DMV. Great recruiter

I guess. They’ve been second fiddle to Loyola for a few years now in the city in terms of support. And with Loyola jumping to the A10 the conference difference lessens.

Of course, I don’t know if Loyola will be able to keep Valentine.

That’s what the shame of it is, is that how he decommited because we had no other commits and we were looking terrible, but as of this point that whole list of teams pretty much everybody on that list is terrible except for wake forest, but they are probably going to come back to reality because they just got drubbed by Syracuse.

We suck at coaching too. Watch the way Xavier is playing at IU. More under control, more assists
And not taking all the forced, crazy shots he took when playing for Capel.
Yup - We got punked by St. Francis at home with the following players:
Champagnie (NBA)
Johnson (Doing very well at Indiana)
Toney (Doing very well at Arkansas)
Horton (Current Starter)
Hugley (Current Starter)
Odukale (Current Starter)

Capel has failed at every aspect of coaching.

He has exactly a 2:1 assist to TO ratio. It wouldn’t have anything to do with the fact that he’s been at this college thing for a few years now, would it? I mean, he was almost 2:1 last year too and has improved that stat every year for 4 years now.

Shhh
It’s all coaching
Also he’s not the show now
