I watched parts of that game over the weekend. I was surprised to hear that Stanford got the these players.

1. the number one rated QB in the country
2. the number one rated OL in the country
3. the number two rated OL in the country
4. the number one TE in the country

2. the number one OL - i saw his live commit. it was pretty cool, after his announcement they showed a letter he wrote while he was in the 7th grade saying that he wanted to play at stanford. he was 6'5 and a 17 shoe in 7th grade.

I know shaw does a nice job as a coach/recruiter but that is a pretty damn good haul for them.

i'm not sure which service they were using for their ratings.

These are very good players but these rankings vary wildly according to which service ranks them. I have seen 3 different OL guys ranked as #1 this year. Same goes for other positions.

But Stanford really does seem to have it going on.

Stanford seems to have a lot of success at all three of those positions. They churn out a lot of NFL talent along the OL and at TE.
