The way USC and Addison handled this situation is mind boggling stupid.
USC should have told Addison go into the portal and say you are unsure about the new coordinator and QB and say you are going to look at your options. Completely believable. Then tell him to wait a month and then announce your enrolling at USC. Then wait a few more weeks and announce your NIL deal. This whole thing would have been far less explosive
Addison shoul have gone in the portal and looked at all the offers he would have been offered. I could imagine Oklahoma would have come up with big Bucks to keep him From Lincoln.

I would guess that schools doing this stuff will get smarter the next time around.
