I saw him in USC-BAMA game in Arllington this year. he needs much better coaching, if OC Canada sees something in him, then it should be fine for Pitt. If one recalls, Jim Chaney bringing Peterman to Pitt required some upgrading too, and Peterman turned out just fine.

Browne staying a full weekend not just one day, and Canada that went to USC for weekend bodes great interests frlm both Pitt & Browne as far I am concern. However, It is up to all of them...Narduzzi, Canada and Browne!

Look what happen to 4 Star Peterman from UTenn under Narduzzi, Chaney, & Canada. Only the Best Offensive Records at Pitt in History? As a Fan I used to worry about that but now not a worry anymore. Narduzzi-Canada know what to do and just let them decide to do it and Browne choose too.
Excerpts:

“I coached all his brothers. I've known him since he was 4 years old,” Taylor said. “He's more than just a former player to me.”.........“I know he's (in Pittsburgh) for a reason,” Taylor said. “He's serious.”.....That doesn't guarantee Browne, 21, will enroll at Pitt to replace graduating senior Nathan Peterman. But it does indicate mutual interest, especially after Pitt offensive coordinator Matt Canada recently visited Browne in Los Angeles, Taylor said. Pitt is in the market for an experienced quarterback with only freshmen Thomas MacVittie and Ben DiNucci behind Peterman, and with Bo Schneider expressing an intent to transfer.

What exactly did Peterman accomplish before coming to Pitt?
Awww like Zaire Peterman started a few games at Tennessee and lost his job. Browne NEVER got off the bench. That's what Peterman accomplished. Now that we have the car driving do we really want to give thgthge keys to someone who hasn't driven in 4years ?

He started three games last year and won the position as a starter. He was replaced by a freshman who had an excellent year. But Pitt needs a QB who can provide experience in a program like USC and compete for the position. Peterman was not close to the product we saw at Pitt in TN. Can lightening strike twice? We will see if he commits.

Browne started the first 3 games this year.

"oldpantherfan, post: 1708434, member: 4960"]Awww like Zaire Peterman started a few games at Tennessee and lost his job. Browne NEVER got off the bench.
Not true I saw Browne play in Arlington and he did another 2 games. The year before he played some too, if not mistaken,. Donald came in the third game and everything changed to winning all the rest of the games. Bama made him look bad but Bama is great too.

That's what Peterman accomplished. Now that we have the car driving do we really want to give thgthge keys to someone who hasn't driven in 4years ?
Again, up to Canada, Canada made Peterman better, but Chaney started that growth, we shall see? I don't like Max having just one year. Prefer 2 but that is not the case. You raise good points!

Again, Canada's Call!

Browne started a few games as well. Both Browne and Peterman are very similar.

Zaire is a completely different story.

Well stated again, you have indeed good insight I might add! I enjoy reading and learning from your posts.

Living in LA I've heard a lot about Browne and he had been pretty well-regarded, Darnold is just better (and he is really good). Browne faced Alabama (15), Stanford (53) and Utah St (10) who all had good pass D's (in parantheses). That being said, USC did the right thing to go with Darnold.

I think we would be happy to have Browne here and starting next year, he is a smart kid, has the skills, probably more talented than Peterman, and he gives MacVittie another year to get seasoned.

Say what?

Give the former 5 star an opportunity to compete for the job at Pitt. Not sure where the debate starts. Again, if MacVittie wins the job it shows he is ready to emerge great but if he breaks his leg in week 1, do you feel good with Ben Denucci leading us into Happy Valley and beyond ? Get Max Browne to commit now.

Seems simple enough...
