anyone here think USC will give up on the coach they hired two years ago (2 miserable seasons) and go after Dixon?

Because if they do I think Dixon takes the job this time. PAC-12 is a joke it would be much easier to turn around USC than to turn PITT around and make them high echelon in the ACC

You apparently have not drank enough since the last thread you started on this topic. Why would USC pay over $10-15 million to buy out Dixon...then have to pay him close to or over $3 million a season? There are plenty of coaches that they could get for far less that are not in a slump/trending down. Sounds like you are hoping this will happen? Take it from me...IT IS NOT HAPPENING. Hail to Pitt!

is that buyout amount factual? Seems a little high.

Right now with a good coach USC could easily shoot to near the top of a pathetic PAC-12, and YES Pitt is going to need new blood to compete in the ACC. They must recruit better to keep up and I don't think Dixon, with his style, is capable of it

But, but, but I thought that coach USC hired was the coolest cat on the planet: lob city, hot wife, a gazillionaire.

You mean having a wife who was a former model doesn't guarantee you 20 wins?

Pitt could end up with a guy like Enfield if Dixon ever left, which is a scary thought. Those USC fans who like basketball would kill to have had a season like Pitt just completed.

Nobody has the contract to know for sure. But we know approximately how much Jamie makes during the course of his contract through 2023. So yeah, we have a pretty good sense of the buy out. Add the buy out to the annual contract...and that would be like paying $6-7 million per season. I believe there is only one coach in college making that kind of money...so USC could hire anyone. It will not be Dixon--so you better give up on that hope of yours. Hail to Pitt!

Jesus man, enough already. Quit trying to force feed Dixon somewhere else.

Howland isn't coming back and we don't want Miller and his mangina.
