With things a bit quiet on the football front, I thought it'd be a good time to throw out a discussion about who you are, why you're here, how you became a Pitt fan, what type of football intelligence you have (are you a coach, scout, avid fan, casual fan, etc.) and if your handle has any significance. I'm always curious about who is saying what and why. I know people care about anonymity and identity security, so I'm not asking anyone to divulge more than they're comfortable sharing and certainly not revealing info about other users.

I grew up around the country wherever there were steel mills and had some stops in Pittsburgh. Grew up a Pitt fan and going to some football and basketball games when I was a kid. Born in '76, I saw some good football in the 80's and was hooked from there. I ended up graduating from Pitt in '98 and then went to law school at Pitt. I serve on some boards at Pitt and am an adjunct professor at the Law School and teach seminars at the Business Schools. I have season tickets to football and hoops and have had them since I got out of law school. Have two young kids and live in South Fayette school district. I'm a football fan, but certainly not a coach, scout or any kind of student of the game. Just love watching it and keep up as much as a I can. I use this board as a way to get recruiting info, insights from the folks who break down the game and, sadly, a lot of coaching search details over the years. I use Twitter almost exclusively for Pitt football and some basketball info.

I'm sure this has been done before, but I haven't seen it in a while and the discussion over the last few days about Pittsburgh schools got me curious.

So Lair men and women, what's your story?
