Tonight in our section it was overrun by Marshall fans, ushers were not around to control the infiltration by those fans in section 109. By the end of the 3rd quarter and beginning of the 4th quarter most of the Pitt fans had left. Usually the ushers are on top of fans just sitting down in our section, but not tonight. I told one of the ushers standing near by that they had lost control of the crowd in our section and he said that they had seats there. That was a lie. I watched from the beginning of the game when then just came in and sat down no one stopped them. I will place a call to the ticket office Monday about the ushers losing it tonight.

Why would they even care if more than half of the stadium is empty.

Here'a an idea - Pitt fans can show up and support their team so there aren't a bunch of open seats for people to sit in.
Who wants to go and watch mostly Akron and Bowling Green type players? Let recruiting pick up a lot and then you'll see.

I'm sorry, but I didn't see too many Pitt fans at the game tonight. Let the Marshall fans sit where they want. If you can't handle it, leave. Go to another section where there are empty seats, and there are plenty of them. Hell, go to the student section. That place was more than half empty tonight. I guess the game was too late for the little baby Pitt students, or else they just wanted to go out and get drunk instead of watching another football game. Granted, the game was against a really bad opponent that we barely beat.

Typical Pitt fans. Frontrunners who only come to games when they're winning or when they're playing a "rival".

Yes....

But at the end of the day those fools have to go home to Huntingdon WV

Isn't that punishment enough??

Yea, it's unrealistic to expect big draws for a 1-2 Conference USA program. Let's be honest, if Pitt were 4-0 and Narduzzi said that since Hamlin is healthy, he's playing...there would have been an uptick in attendance. Until the youth movement begins on defense like it has on offense, I have no interest in going to Heinz Field to watch Maddox line up 1on 1 with a WR who's 6'7. That was total non-sense.

Obviously you don't make a donation for the right to purchase seats in you section, big difference. NO, the Marshall fans should sit when then have tickets not in a section that they don't have a ticket for, otherwise its is a free for all which it became last night. Then why have ushers. Are they there just to watch the game!

Marshall fans are pretty close to wvu fans..
Coaching staff with the exception of their head coach were obnoxious interfered with us the entire game.

Of course I make a donation for the seats. Both in football and basketball. I've been donating for decades. But that's going to stop soon because my money can be used much more productively elsewhere, and I'll be retiring soon and want that money to be used for necessities and certain perks for my wife and me to enjoy. That doesn't include donating to Pitt athletics. They've gotten enough of my money. I'll still be at the games though, because it's so easy to get good tickets at any time and I get tickets given to me.

But I will say that there were Marshall fans in the section where I was, sitting in someone else's seats. They were asked to move by the usher, but the Pitt fans who had those seats didn't want to make any trouble and just sat somewhere else in our section. No big deal. Sheesh, it's just a freakin' football game!!!! Sit anywhere. It's not worth fighting about.

Heinz Field ushers have always sucked for Pitt games. For the first three years they were policing the student section and trying to get them all to sit. No one had bothered to inform them that students stand - that or they were told and simply didn't care.

Good players want to play in front of passionate fans that support their team. Not only is it a let down to the current players, but also to the recruits. What good player with options is going to be impressed by that environment?
